My giant brahma roo was chased down by 3 banty roosters and pecked severely - he ended up caught in some wire behind the henhouse and his feet are cut because he got tangled up. He seemed to be feeling bad a couple of days before that when I noticed he had bumblefoot, which I cleaned, put Neosporin on, and bandaged securely. His eyes are closed, his tailfeathers are down and his feet are swelled up. I am extremely worried about him, though his appetite is decent. He acts as though he can barely stand on his feet. I need to know which oral antibiotic would be best for infection. He is in my house until he gets well...is thin due to the banties would gang up on him and chase him away from the feeders. I gave the banties away yesterday, and I'm hoping that now they are gone he will recover. Thanks for any antibiotic advice. Phinny is 2+ years old now.
