My Roo thinks He's Hugh Hefner LOL

He's got way too many girlfriends. He's got 26 & what a happy camper. Maybe that's the ticket to keeping a roo happy.He could careless about me. The girls love him. I think he's casanova. Maybe, 10 to one ain't the right equation.

I'm sure your hens are happy he's got that many girls. I had three roosters and only seven pullets at one point and my poor girls were almost bare backed. Now we're rooster free and finally the girls are getting their feathers again.

My pullets are coming of age now. So he now has doubled the pool of possibles. Time will tell what his reaction is in the long term. For now he might just be spreading himself to thin.

we have approx. 39 hens and had 3 roos...
one mean ole roo to the girls (top roo)
a HUGELY MEAN silkie roo (who was mean to the guys who came near him and) & would grab the hens necks with his beak since he was so little he had to hurt them to mount them...

then a completely docile roo who has YET to make any sounds...nor does he mount..

so the top two went to a farm..I'm kinda sad if they are gonna get butchered... but the docile roo is mounting now but still hasnt crowed at all...(NICE!)
