My Roo... what breed? My hen...what breed??

Oh, he's rumpless! I thought he just moulted his tail.

Partridge is a color, not a breed (of chickens, anyways.

) and that color does fit them.

I believe if you breed him to your girls and then breed the pullets from that hatch to him that you will end up with more rumpless birds. He may then have some auracana in him somewhere, though he's showing more of the ameraucana type (slight bearding & muffs, slate legs) not counting the rumplessness.

Does the hen lay blue or green eggs?

That bird is not rumpless..his tail is picked out or he's moulting. I can see the tailbone in the pic, which is the lump on his backside. I'd say an EE. Could be an ameraucana, but I'll leave that to someone else, as I'm not familiar with that color on them or if it meets the standard.

I have had him for about 4 weeks, When should I start seeing tailfeathers? I cant really get close enough to him to get a better picture, he hasnt been around any other males so I dont who would pick out his feathers. Why does the rest of him look full and pretty? Sorry about all these questions I am just getting into chickens lol

A lot of chickens start losing their tail-feathers first during moult, sometimes they lose more sometimes they don't. He should start growing them back out in a few weeks.

If he didn't moult them and they got picked, it could have been from hens too. Especially if they were not fed a proper protein ratio or didn't have enough to keep them from being bored.

Okay, thank you so much for your replies, I will keep watching his tail, I would really like him to have big pretty tail feathers, now he just looks a little wierd
