My roos are eating catfood, is it safe?

They have easy access to chicken feed but there not eating it; they are eating catfood though. Is it safe for them? Also i think the reason why there not eating there feed is because it is layer food so do they not eat it?
Edit: Nevermind about the cat food because i saw something at the bottom of the forum about it. But what about the layer food?

yes..they can eat it once in a while for a treat and extra protein..but i dont think its good for them to eat all the time...

Would it hurt them though to be eating it all the time since it would be hard to take it away from them?
