My rooster attacks my family!

we had one that did the same.......when he attacked me that was it......I did everything......carried a stick....thru plastic kid charis at him......the best ting (besides dragging him around th barnyard backwards by the tail) was a pool noodle......he was terrified of that......and it was easy to carry and didnt hurt him......(all in all he still wound up as dinner....just not for the family his fight to the death lost him his life with some late night predator)

Thanks we have hit him with a stick not very hard though my husbend said he flew at him so he hit him on his tail feathers and sorta pushed him.......into his coop and locked him up while the others wondered the yard.

Do you still have this rooster and is it still a problem? We have an "Easter Egger" that was supposed to be a hen but started growing a tail and crowing. He is very mean and attacks us all unprovoked -drawing blood. I was just about ready to make chicken and dumplings, but decided to get a heavy duty spray bottle and when he came after me spray him in the face. Now he runs away from me clucking- especially if he sees the bottle in my hand. I carry it every time I go out just to remind him since his memory is so short. If he even comes close to me, I spray his face. I haven't had a problem since - but I have only been doing it for the last week. If you still have yours give it a try.
