Waffles (my silkie rooster-2 years) used to be the "best rooster ever" you know ,easy to handle, doesn't pull the feathers out of the hens backs and heads, make sure all the hens heads are down eating before he eats, I mean he was an AWESOME rooster. but for about a month now he has slowly been changing. Now he started chasing hens of when the are eating and using his spurs, and he is not easy to catch and throws a fit if you do, but he still falls asleep on you if you hold him a while. please help,

before he hurts the hens, then he would have to go.

well not really, the last time we added more birds was in June.
oh but we did have to take out one of his former faves 2 weeks ago

It does not really sound like anything a normal rooster does not do.
how does it seem normal for a pet rooster to go through such a dramatic change?????? he wasn't LIKE most roosters he was the most docile rooster iv ever herd of!!!

It's odd to change so dramatically at two years old... I'm wondering if it's just because of the removal of one of his favourite hens. now the flock dynamic has changed and so has he... Just my thoughts

good idea but hes been this way for about a month and shes only been gone for two weeks.

do you think that it could be that the weathers getting colder and food is going down? or... um
