hi my rooster Romeo has mites on his face do you know how to get rid of them his face is all crusty and it looks like it bled at one time can you help me? this is before it got were it is now I did not go and mess with him to get photo becuz he's so fat and he's got bumble foot so he limps :(:( but I can sit down with him and he will fall a sleep in my arms when I pet him

Could you get some better photos of his face? It is hard to see much in your picture. There are a number of conditions that affect the face. You cannot see scaly face mites without a microscope, but you could see other mites or lice. Fungal infection or favus can also cause white chaulky skin on the face, wattles and com. True scaly face mites are treated by applying vaseline to smother the mites. Favus or fungus is treated with antifungal creams such as miconazole or Monistat, or clotrimazole.
