My rooster has started mounting my pullets. Does that mean eggs are coming shortly?

Sorry...I read yours posts as you were linking the cock mounting the pullets to them laying/not laying eggs.

He may have mounted her when you weren't looking.
Or he's not too aggressive so lets her be until she willingly submits.
A 'good' cock will not mount any pullet that is not ready to lay.
It can be a couple days or a couple weeks after squatting before you see an egg.

Thank you! It seems that he’s mounting them only when they let him & so far within a week the one he mounted lays their 1st egg. He’s very good with them. He does a dance around them & only mounts them if they bow. Otherwise he just leaves them be.
