I had to separate him from his once gorgeous red headed lady's. Dang roo was picking their feathers off their fluffy butts. The girls now look terrible from behind. So , the roo is now in Jail .I got him locked in my newly built 330 sq foot coop. He might have a heart attack. He looks like a man waiting for his first child to be born . He paces back & forth & won't shut up. He hears the girls singing the egg song & lordy he's going crazy. The roo gets one more chance & thats it. How long should I leave him in jail?

Unless you are eager to hatch eggs, I'd leave him in solitary until the hens have regrown their feathers. If celibacy killed, lots of us would be dead.
