My rooster is dancing at ME!

i have had a few roosters dance for me.... its cute.
but my tom turkeys LOVE me....
years ago...i had one bronze tom love me so much he always fanned and gobbled when i was around.. followed me everywhere.. he tolerated other females (humans).. but he started to ATTACK any MAN that got near me..
now i have a wild tom turkey (and he has a hen) but he fans and gobbles for me.. i can uauslly get him to gobble on cue, i just have to make the female turkey noise and everytime he answers back

That's how my Zeus started. First the dancing and when I didn't respond, he stepped up to biting me. It's all a part of trying to dominate you and should be nipped in the bud, IMO.

My roo did it too....I pick him up as much as possible and I also have a small switch near the coop. If he is acting crazy I pop him a few times with that....It doesn't really hurt him, he just does not like it.

The other day he was dancing around me while I had feed in one hand and water in the other...I was unable to address it right away and next thing I know he was running in the coop and trying to bite at my feet. Out can the switch...He stays clear now....

my little rosecomb roo does this....hes less than a pound so its cute...i just pick him up and he gets embarrassed and frustrated....hes only pecked at me twice and i can barely feel it...but he is the dominate rooster lol....and my other roos are standards lol.....
my new delaware roo has been doing this and he pecks and it hurts!! he left a scab and a big bruise on my arm and he is 8lbs plus and is nothing to mess with so i just kick him across the coop everytime he even thinks about it...now hes scared of me but when i turn my back its on.....hes never whooped out the spurs yet (and ill tell u theyre huge and SHARP), but if he does or it gets any worse ill make some chicken and dumplings and if you know me you KNOW i LOVE chicken and dumplings!!
im not too worried about it bc im very cautious around him, but i wouldnt dare let anyone else in the coop other than me or my sister if im there with her or shes got some nice steel toed boots on lol....she knows how he his and is careful and not afraid to show him whos boss....i saw her wrestle him down once and hold him still...which is not easy seeing as how big and strong and fiesty he is lol
just keep an eye on him

Yep, I've been picking him up and petting him so the biting has stopped.

I have a welsummer roo about 19 weeks and he dances at me. When I squat to talk to my girls. He always wants to be behind me. I have tried to walk towards him when he does this. I'm a big fan of not hurting or being mean to animals so kicking and hitting him isn't an option unless he's attacking me. He's pretty big so I'm a lil intimidated about picking him up or holding him down. Help! I don't want to be attacked so should I grow a pair and do it or continue to walk him back and hope it works?
