My rooster named satan, I mean Rocky....questions?

I just rehomed a rooster (Ralph, a Black Star) that was constantly attacking me. After forgetting to grab my stick, I lost a major battle Monday and have the bruises to prove it. I am so glad that we had trimmed his spurs, so there were just bruises and no blood. Anyway.... a neighbor supplied me with his TAME Buff Orphington. Now, he is the new enemy. I have been reading suggestions on dealing with this, and I think I better understand what needs to be done. We felt perhaps he was just trying to prove his dominence. This guy seems so much softer than my Black Star. I don't think this one can take the licking Ralph did. And do they sense fear? Any thoughts?
