My rooster stopped crowing.

We are pretty new at raising are chickens we have had them for about eight months. My rooster was raised from a baby and he was crowing just fine then one day its like he just can't crow I checked for anything in his throat and seen nothing. Any idea what it could be??

Does he look like he is going to crow but no noise comes out or does he not crow all together?

He crows but you can barely hear him.

Sorry, I have no experience with roosters, we are not allowed to have them here.

Just a thought, was he crowing excessively before you were no longer able to hear him?

He may just have overdone it!

Yes he would crow all the time day and night. I hope that's what it is.
