My rooster will not lay eggs

i think my rooster does lay eggs. i went out to gather them and there he was .. sitting on one.. i am sure he laid it.. he looked so proud. then the hen came in and off he went..

too bad he wont lay, rooster eggs are the best! the last batch of chicks we sold to a man who asked me " now, the roosters are what you would consider the males of the chickens right?"
they were his first chickens, poor guy. he and his wife had always lived in the city, and now that they are having children they have found a place in the country and bought all the chickens and ducks we had, i hope they are doing alright, its really great and satisfying to know there are people who are making the move to a more self sustainable lifestyle!

Hey, I think mine does. I have 10 hens and 1 rooster. I went out today and found 11 eggs. Beats me. I have no clue. SO maybe yours will pop one out soon.
