My roosters got in a fight- PLEASE HELP

I have two roos. We are breeding one. I know that they can never go in the same pen again so one is with the hens and the other is usually free ranging. The free ranging one got into the coop and the roos started fighting. There was a lot of blood. One is panting really hard and won't calm down. Will he be ok? What should I do?

Pictures would help. The fact that has panting hard isn't surprising. You try fighting with someone like they do and you'd be exhausted too.

You'll have to check them out for injuries. Keep in mind that combs bleed a lot, so lots of blood might not be an indicator of serious damage. You can stop bleeding in combs pretty easily.

He should be fine, but I definately would keep the free ranged caged for a bit to let him heal. Comb wounds bleed a lot, just like head wounds on people

The gray one was loosing. The white one had him pinned to the ground. He sounded like he couldn't breath. He also sounds like he can't breath very well when he crows or gets scared. He sounds raspy. Is that normal too? He's was my first rooster.I haven't had chickens very long.
