My roosts and dropping boards...yay or nay (pic)

Just looking for comments, good or bad on these roosts and boards. I used old vinyl tiles for covering. They're 8 inches below the roost bars and 14 inches deep.

Those look nice. I am trying to work out an idea for some myself. I like the way you did it.

The one closest to the camera (can't tell about the one on the other wall) does not seem to stick out far enough to catch all the poo when chickens are facing the wall (and sometimes they will be)... but even if you have only that width, it will be MUCH MUCH better than nothing, I think you'll be happy with them

You know Pat, I was thinking about that exactly, the width issue. It is the same on the back wall. I did think about which way the chickens would be facing, and being new to this I didn't know if they had a preferance. If they catch the majority of the poo I'll be happy, if not I can make them wider. Thank you all for your comments and help. This site has made my coop a fun and easier project.
