So, I woke up this morning to a strange noise. I ignored it at first, thinking it was the mocking bird outside harassing my roosters with some new noise it learned. Then after hearing it several more times I realized it was my chinchilla doing his evil laughter noise (barking). I got up and went looking for the squirt gun to quiet him down then realized the sounds were not coming from inside my room but rather outside my window. I peeked out the blinds at the first ray of light and saw my Serama rooster stretching out his neck and letting out the strangest noises. I guess he's still learning how to crow because I would have bet my life it was my chinchilla barking!
For those of you who don't know, this is sort of what my chinchilla sounds like when he barks (only his bark is a little faster)
