Hello, I have a serama hen that i love and she went missing tonight. The last I seen her was around 4:30 pm doing all the chickens food and water and came to put them up around 5:20 and didn't see her, but all of the other hens of her coop where there. This isn't the first time she's went missing, about a week ago we found her near the coop put her back in the coop. She love to fly on top of the coops and house, but no where to be found near them, she's very quite and friendly. I don't know where she could be unless she somewhere on a tree. In the past year we had a orpington hen go missing from a chicken hawk, but the is a tiny little chicken, not even the size of my hand (she's very camouflaged as well this time of year. We also have a great pyrenees watch dog for free rang time. I just wanna know if this has ever happen to anyone before and if so has the hen ever turned up in the morning. I have school so I wont be able to look for her. please help! Thanks. She's in this picture to the left.

Is your run covered? Could she have slipped out through a gap? Could she be sleeping in a nest box or on the roosts abscured by a larger chicken?
the coop is cover and secured pretty well, she has been found sometimes in other chicken coops when i go to lock them up. I've look all around with a flash light and haven't seen see her.

Not gonna lie, I suspect a predator got her :(
I thought that too, but i don't really know how that would have happen. My dog should have started barking or attacking it. everyone else was fine an no feathers spilled out :( I also thought she might be broody even though she barley lays eggs.

Well, she could have escaped, walked away from the dog's view and been taken.

I've been looking around the roofs and yard, still haven't found her nor haven't found anything that could lead up to her being killed. Hopefully I'll find her between now and the morning time. Wish me luck:fl Thanks for the suggestions!
