my serama was paralyzed

My Serama start crowing from last week and able to walk again.But other thing that concern me is he got something like unusual, his neck always raised up like something stuck or choking because I noticed his behavior since last year (November)...He was okay when since Feb/March (The day I took him to vet) but this sign came back again and it really worries me sometimes.The reason I took him to veterinarian clinic because sometimes his comb turns blue ( not all,only little bit on rear part and it's feels cold) and this choking sign,raised & shaking his neck.The Veterinarian doctor says nothing stuck on his neck,any suggestion or explanation?

I have upload my video on youtube so that you can see what the problem I mean.
Thanks.

I'm not experienced at all with these symptoms, but that sound like he's struggling to breathe. A blue comb is a pretty classic sign of oxygen deprivation. I'm going to call in the senior members.

@casportpony?
@Ravynscroft ?
@WVduckchick ?

Good luck and I'm glad he's feeling better!

I'm not familiar with that action either, but agree he looks to be struggling to breathe. At his age, he could be having numerous issues. I hope someone else has some insight.

He is beautiful :love
Thank You so much WVduckchick, he is beautiful, he is 10 years now, we raised him since 2008,quite old but healthy with some issues

Okay so I've seen the videos u post also I look back on ur post of his age ..10 years
This is the exact lifespan of an Malaysian breed of Serena rooster ..

I'm guessing he's completing his lifespan :(
Shortness of breath and neck movement maybe Caz of oxygen but atmosphere in video looks fine purple or blue comb is when heart unable to receive good amount of oxygen where black comb from tips sign of cold temperature

Apart from his age ..
His neck movements makes me doubting on Newcastle hope he recover soon

Hi Saaniya,
Thanks for reply.
Yes that is true he is advanced in his age and a senior (have to accept that).In the morning 10am I put him inside coop so that he can get sunlight,except for heavy rain have to put him on cage and stay warm at home & at night I put him on the box as you can see in the video because at the backyard there is a lot of mosquitoes,inside my home the air is clean and warm temperature(so that I can nurse him).Sometimes love to hear his crowing at 9pm. His comb sometimes turn purple/blue temporary but turns normal again.
Greeting crowing video from Mr.White (my serama rooster) from Malaysia.
Thank You
