my serama was paralyzed

I've a very very soft corner for rooster and your roo is seriously face of innocence ..apart from everything if his advanced age elderness cause him difficulties at this moment I will only suggest u to spend more n more time capture more moments with so he didn't feel lonely . I'm just so happy to hear his crow usually roosters who are mildly sick will didn't crow this means your rooster is not sick . old age cause organ weak just like humans .
Ever since I had chicks and they grew up I'm always afraid for their leaving it made me sad but if u give a great life , security to your roo from almost a decade and he's a boss he live a happy luxury life with a lovely owner like u
When hens get elder they need extra extra care ..I suggest u care a lil more extra and love him :hugshe's a strong guy . much love to him & u

Hi again Saaniya,
Thanks again your words really encourage me to love and care for my Serama even more.
For me when I look at my roo just like looking at little baby and so innocent as you said.I have plan someday I want to breed Serama and told to younger generation that having Serama is fun and can keep as hobby (not for competition).Serama here have high value and people appreciate and love it.Even the Vet doctor who treat Mr.White says he is strong and beautiful even he was very old in age just like what you said previously. I was really happy to meet and talk to people like you, because I have no experience dealing with poultry health issues until I came to BYC and meet friendly fellow like you and others.Wish you and your pets to be bless with double healthy life.Love and greet from Malaysia.Thank you

Large comb serama may have comb circulation issues off and on as well. I have had 3 very well bred cocks now and all of them occasionally have darkening of the comb for a few minutes. Young, healthy birds- spook died in an accident, not of disease, it's related to the size of the comb and the size of the body. I hope your boy remains healthy.

Thanks BabyBoss ,So sorry to hear about loss of your birds, Yes,that is true, sometimes darkening for a few minutes then turns normal again. It might have circulation problem on and off on some parts. When I touch the dark area it feels cold the red part is warm.If heavy rain it get even worst,so the best just keep him warm at home.
