I agree that it can be a submissive sign....My bantams and silkies do it when they want me to pick them up or give them attention

Yep, I'm hoping it's just submission. It's still a surprise, though -- you figure every critter needs time to kind of fall into its "language", and I've never seen 'em "say" that particular thing that early before

The BR is the most personable of the three, so maybe she does just want some attention.
