Here is a pic of what the front of the shed looked like for years. Then when I moved in (this was my sisters house previously) we got chickens and wa-la! Lol

And here are some pics of their run, its attached to their coop. Chicken wire attached to the sides and buried. Tho this pic was taken when only one side done. The top has chicken wire over it also. I added a tarp over most of it to help keep most of the rain out. But of course it started holding the water so I added a cemented 4x4 in the middle.
It was grassy/weedy but that didn't last long lol so now i filled it with sand and in their favorite corners i added some food grade D.E.

And a pic of our house to show how close we got the color to match i do have lots more work i plan on doing before Im happy with it but that will happen little by little, i work a LOTTTTT in the warm months (i work seasonally) and I do plan on adding another 10x10 dog kennel next year to give them more room. I can't free range because i know they would go to my neighbors yard and we have lots of coyotes, fishers, fox, hawks, bear..

Very nice. Something to think about. Raccoons can reach through chain link fencing and grab a chicken if they're close enough. I bought a dog lot from a guy who kept chickens in it. He attached chicken wire to the outside along the bottom to keep that from happening. Honestly, it doesn't look that great. Hardware cloth would look much better.

Yeah, I watched a Plott bear hound tear apart a welded wire fence trying to get at a mechanical training bear just last Sunday! Thinking hardware cloth would make a stronger, longer lasting apron and sides.
