My silkie is dying! Whats wrong with her? Please reply!!!

Even a buck for the vaccine is well worth not having the misery and broken heart that comes with Marek's.

Someone showed me that you can sex silkies early on but I don't know when. You need both male and female and where the comb grows, there will be a deeper dent on the females than on the males.

Ok. its like four bucks to get them sexed as it says on the website and then another buck for vaccinations according to you, on top of a four dollar chick but it is well worth it because I had a rooster and had to get rid of him and then sooty died so yeah. thank you peeps.

I had 2 roo silkies and one hen. They were all very happy together. Every egg the hen and her offspring hatched was female. And I really wanted another roo, LOL. I have 1 left and he's my sweet little man.

I would really love to have a roo because mine was so sweet and handsome but we live in the city. I sometimes go visit him at our friends house who we gave him to.

Marek's is extremely contagious , that's the problem. It's spread by chicken dust and dander. You can't clean it away and any exposed chicken, sick or not can spread it.
