she does not look like she is showing any aggression towards them...I think it is just that fabulous silkie natural instinct to be mommy. Have you let her near them to see how they all interact without the tote between them?

I would try giving them some supervised time together and see is she wants to mother them or if she turns on them. You can stop any sudden attack...if all goes well, let her play mommy for you. I would try it and see what happens.

Haha you guys are so cute :-)

Too answer you question, you can get chicken diapers at www.chickendiapers.com and they are super easy to deal with. All you do is put little sandwich baggies inside so you never actually have to clean the diaper itself unless the chicken has an accident on it haha. But yea, you just change out the little baggies in the diapers

Im not sure what I'll do if Peanut is a boy. So far he/she only seems to attempt to crow is someone is awake. So I dont mind that much.

Actually the biggest problem I'm having is with the feathers!! I've had birds all my life and I've never had one shed SO much! I guess its because silkies are so fluffy.. I have to vacuum once a day to keep up with it otherwise our house looks like a winter snow land haha

Do a search for "chicken saddles" on this forum. I can't remember the ladies name but I ordered them from her on here. My problem is that I ordered girlie looking ones and Im finding out that my silkie is most likely a make.. OOPS!
