How am I supposed to take care of the little chickens? Or should I just let the hen take care of them?

Unless something goes drastically wrong, always let the hen take care of them. She's perfectly equipped to care for them naturally

Oh yeah, and congrats on your new babies

I have a Silkie hen that just had 5 chicks hatch.

We moved them to a dog carrier, removed the door, put hay inside. Then we fenced off a corner of the coop for the hen and her chicks--just a piece of 2 ft. chicken wire and three short t-posts. They are just fine--they can see the other three silkies (2 hens and 1 roo), and the chicks and hen have their own feeder and waterer. Mama hen does a great job of watching them and keeping them warm at night.

Silkies make great mother hens.

Thanks and have you ever had an egg that's been pecked hatch?

That's very exciting! I have silkies I'm hatching out. I can't wait for the day my hens hatch
