Thanks for all the kind words. My son is pretty excited to see what comes from each new hatch now. He has put in the time and worked really hard taking care of the chickens and building pens with me. He has no desire to waste his spare time with video games while there is work to do out with the livestock. I feel blessed to have such a boy. I will try my best to support him when it comes to getting him to show his chickens.
I think that the whites have come a long way since we got the initial foundation stock. If I get a chance later I'll put up a picture of the white Silkie rooster that sired these pullets. He is non-bearded, hard-feathered, and absolutley awful type-wise. I can't believe that such an ugly rooster can produce such beautiful offspring. I have way better looking roos, but none of them produce the quality that "Frankenstein" does.
