My silly mis behaving' turkey---

Hey there--I have a male 1 yr old turkey who I raised from 2 weeks old with another turkey. I had to have surgery and the other turkey (who was also a male) started beating this one, Eddie, up. Anyhow, we re homed him and now Eddie who was PERFECT until mating season which is here, is acting crazy! He guards and pecks, and scratches, and stands on my neighbors corvette--NOT a good thing! He has lived with 22 hens/chix, is used to dogs, and many feral cats. We have a steady stream of folks come down our street, as we live in a normal hood in Tempe, so he is quite a scene--now he picks and chooses who he likes and I can't trust him to free range with the others from 10 a-7p, he has to stay in the coop and only come out with supervised visits! It kills me to have it this way, but I feel I have no other choice. I don't know if he will snap out of it once mating season is over, or if it's best either way to get him to some acreage to live a NORMAL turkey life? Please HELP!! He can NOT be dinner, but I would be interested in him finding a GREAT home. THNXXXXX!!

A male turkey without hens will become sexually frustrated as well as just frustrated. He's sexually maturing now. Chickens aren't a good match with turkeys. They can kill them. I would keep him penned up, an aggressive Tom turkey is dangerous. I would either get some hens, or find him a better home.
