The rest of the my flock and I kept two of the best girls in my group for best headdresses and spangles and the two best girls were from Ideal but they were smaller than CarlaOK's chicks

Ewesheep, did you have any leg problems with yours? We had almost a 100% hatch
but lost half to leg issues or just dropping dead. My Brinsea incubator runs at 38 degrees
celsius which is 101.5 F. They also seemed to hatch at 20 days indicating a high heat.
This batch of eggs (PerfectlyPolish's variety pack) are getting cooked at 37.8C. My
wiggler is at 99.5F. We hatched OKCarla's Spitzes and Brabanters and Mothergooses
Welsummers. We had similiar results with all three breeds.

Wonderful pictures EW & PP!!!!

Out of the chicks I got from you, only the brabanters had leg problems, the spitz were healthy all the way through. I lost 3 brabanters due to the leg problems, one we had to cull because she was just getting worse.

I never had any leg issues with any of CarlaOK and Ideal's Spitzhaubens. They were all doing well today.

That pic of the Spitzy is definately a hen LOL! Beautiful headdress!

Now where is Allen Wranch when we need her??? She got some beautiful Spitzhaubens, and more true to type than the run of the mill. Dont get me wrong..all of our Spitzhaubens are beautiful! We just have alot more work to do to improve the stock. CarlaOK is getting some new blood introduced next year if everything goes well.

Keep those pics coming!

Glad to hear you didn't have any problems. OKCarla's eggs were EXTREMELY FERTILE
and the birds are beautiful as are her Brabanters. I wish I had room for more.

YES MORE PICS PLEASE!!!! Dipsy Doodle Doo has at least one Spitz too. Mayber she'll
join in here.
