Hello,

I hatched a mixed bread batch of eggs this year as a project and hoping to add a few pullets to our group. We have ended up with one which I can not identify the bread of. I am fairly sure she is female as she is now 22 weeks. However, she has a black waffle and comb and I not sure what bread mix she might be or if she will ever lay. Has anyone got any ideas?

Were the eggs from mixed breed chickens, or were the eggs just from pure bred chickens and were all mixed up?

There are several breeds you can rule out such as Silkie, Polish, Cochin, Brahma, Leghorn, Wyandotte, Favorelle, Sultan, Japanese, Ameraucana. She is undoubtedly a mix of single combed heavy breeds. But narrowing down the exact mix is nearly impossible. If you own the breeder birds she came from that can help narrow it down.

Wow she's is striking! A very lovely girl. I have no guesses as to what she may be!
