I have a Ameracauna bantam rooster that grew up with an Ameracauna hen and 2 regular Buff Orpington hens. They are now laying eggs although I can't figure out where the other buff is laying her egg. Anyway, that bantam rooster is mating with the Buff! She tolerates it too, most of the time. Yesterday he jumped on her back to do the deed and she decided to stand up and walk away. The rooster was still on her back. It's rather comical to see. She is so much bigger then he is. I'm curious to see what kind of offspring this hen will hatch if and when that day comes. The other rooster I have is a New Hampshire Red and he hasn't bothered with her.

Do you have a rooster that does this? Has your hen hatched any of the eggs and if so what was the result? Very curious.

That's so funny!!! You should get a picture haha!!
I haven't hatched anything but bantams together so far but I hope that my silkie can mate with my red star in spring!!

We have a Bantam Cochin Rooster. He is in a coop and run with 4 Bantam Cochin hens. As soon as he is let out, he Bee Lines to a coop with 6 Golden Comets. He also tries his hand at some Wyandottes, BO and a Jersey Giant. He does not mind standing his ground against Roosters 3 times his size.

I just hatched 2 of the eggs from the Comets. Not sure what they will be, but hope for serious egg layers with a bad attitude.

I have a bantam Cochin frizzle roo that is quite a ladies' man and his favorites are...Brahmas. They are bantams, but still - these are big girls and he is one teeny little roo that never grew much anyway. He doesn't care. They could definitely walk away with him still on their backs.
