Wow that foot looks huge! lol
Its a huge chick! no wonder it couldn't get out.
Defintetly would be a Suede baby then! lol Poor sweety, bet she's a tired chicky!
Oh, c'mon little one! Well, BIG one! Sure looks like there's some Suede genes in there, doesn't it? So, this is the second one of Caroline's hatching, right? Sure wish an Ameraucana would make an appearance, too.
Congrats!! A person who's never incubated eggs has no clue how exciting it is....at least I didn't before I did my first hatch.
Hopefully in another 6-7 days I'll have some hatching too!!
Cyn this is the first of Caroline's to hatch and one is workingo on zipping but going slowly, there is ne more of caroline's that hasn't done anything. I don't know if I was suppose to or not but I was worried the egg shell was practically glued to the top of the chicks head and the poor little thing couldn' do anything so I used warm water and loosened it and helped pulled the top of the shell off and most of the membrane. I have no idea if it would have loosened and come off by it's self but I wasn't willing to take that chance.
She is an active little chick but mostly all she does is roll right now, pics to come. : )
Here she is, does she look blue or black to you or is it too soon?
Thanks guys for sticking with me through this we still have at least one more to go!
This is too exciting...go baby chicks go!!
Congrats!! gorgeous little thing
