My sweet baby is staggering around acting drunk. HELP!

I hope it works! It doesn't look like anything else will.

I don't think it's over for me yet. I'm not liking when chickens stand off to the side during treats........

I have to keep telling myself: There is nothing I can do, NOTHING. Except keep cleaning to lessen the concentration of viral dander exposure.

I think 2 of my surviving hens are almost 20 weeks and may be ready to let out with the flock. Any opinions?

I know, I keep telling myself the very same thing. I've been cleaning like a madwoman, too, since it's the only thing that I can really do at this point. Is the hypericum working? Not sure...it may be too early to tell OR maybe it's not working at all. Very stressed out about the whole situation.

I think I read an article that said they are most susceptible up until 25 weeks of age? I had an opportunity to pick up some hens that are already laying and decided against it since I really have nowhere to keep them while they're in quarantine. Hmmm...might have to rig up some fencing in the basement?

Yea, this whole thing is super stressful. The chances are better that under 25 weeks will be affected. But older chickens can be too. I've had most die at 6-12 months old, some older, except the hatch of chicks I just had. I'm waiting for my Oxine and sprayer. Then I can spray everything. Up till now I've been using Lysol spray-says it kills all viruses and germs on contact.

Wow! 6-12 months? Mine are dying at 3 months! Ugh...just don't know how much more of this I can take. I looked up the Oxine on First State Vet Supplies website and am going to try to find that locally. I'm a little against paying over $18 for shipping.

Lysol? Never even occured to me to try that! I've been locking the kids out of the coop and spraying bleach then putting a fan in there because the fumes make you want to gag. I just might have to try the Lysol, at least the smell wouldn't be so horrible AND if it helps that's an added bonus!

OXINE---what is the dilution rate? I bought mine thru Amazon, it came to $35 with shipping.

Kingsolver, 1 1/2 yr ago, I lost a roo with classic symptoms, he was almost 2. The vet thought he had Eastern Equine Encephalitis, and I thought he was right. Until a few months ago. Then "Typhoid Mary" died, she was 8 months old. Then an Orp, maybe 6 months old. Then a roo, 8 months old. Then a BLRW, a year old. Lastly, a 1 1/2 yr old hen (possible Marek's), "broken leg", wasting. All this was brought to light with the chicks I hatched here, starting at 8 weeks old, one a week for 7 weeks, classic signs. Now one silkie, classic signs, 1.5 yr old. This was all over the past 1.5 years. Meanwhile, my original flock , 28 of them, are still here .

All except for 1 hen, and the recent Polish babies, were all Splash color of different breeds. Kinda weird, huh?

Im still not quite sure, but all I know is that she's almost 100 percent. My treatment was adding vitamins and electrolytes back into the water and I also do Corid treatment. Not sure which has helped or if either has helped at all. But she is getting better.
