My Sweet Peeps

We are fairly new to raising chick, at least on our own. Both of us grew up with chickens. So now we are 3 weeks in to being chicken parents.

Here's our flock of girls

The older 4 are around 4-5 weeks old. There are 2 brown leghorns and 2 golden comets.

This first one is Roxy.

This is Layla

Next is Foxy

And this princess is Lola. Of all the roosts for her to choose, she prefers my feet or legs!

Now for my wee ones...
The next 4 are 1 1/2 to 2 weeks old.

This is Periwinkle, she's a lavender ameraucana

This sweet thing is Piper, a silver laced cochin

Next is Luna, a splash orpington

And then there is Maisey a spunky little EE.

I have some brown leghorns too.... 4 of them, not quite 3 wks old. I got them because I read here on BYC that they are good at evading predators....and I want to resume free ranging. They are a rowdy bunch!

My girls are a bit miffed at me right now because I worked all weekend and they were stuck in their crates in the house. I leave for work at 6am and don't get home until after 8 so I didn't have time for any play time in the run.

We are still working on getting a coop house for them, and I hope its very SOON!
