My three Cream Legbar chick are now three-weeks old

At five weeks, I think the chicks are getting too big for my little brooder.

They are lovely! Something I’ve wondered with legbars is can you still tell the sex of the chick as they age? What I mean is, obviously they’re autosexing but say you forget to put leg rings on the chicks at a day or two old could you still be sure of sex when they are say 5 weeks old? I’ve done a number of hatches but yet to try legbars. They are next on my list I think!

I don’t know the answer. I am new to chickens and even newer to Cream Legbars and raising chicks. I hope someone knowledgeable will answer your question.

The three chicks moved to a 4ft x 8 ft covered run in the barn so they would have a roomy place to grow. I included a heat lamp since the barn is currently unheated and temps get below freezing at night. I think they will stay here for a few weeks before moving to their coop.
