I overheard them talking. They are ages 4, 2.5, and 17 months. The 4-year-old was pretending to give everyone food and tea.

She says, "Eat the worms!" and they all go "Ewwww!"

Then she says, "Eat the ladybugs!" and they all go "Ewwww!"

Finally she says, "Eat the chicken!" and they all go "Yuuuuuuummmmm!"

Now they are saying "Chicken soup with garlic, yum!"

Might be culinary genius. Have YOU ever tried yogurt with garlic juice?

Actually, Greek tzat ziki has garlic, LEMON juice, and yogurt. That's close!

Awww, I'm proud of my brave little cooks

Now she told me she's having onion yogurt. Hmmmm. A nice, sweet Walla Walla might work.

Edited to add: Florida, we had the same thought about the gyro sauce!

Their idea is very close to this recipe for Yogurt Sauce:

8 ounces of plain yogurt
Juice of 1/2 lemon
2 cloves of garlic, minced
6 mint leaves, chiffonade
Cumin to taste
Salt to taste

Mix well.

or this Yogurt Salad (aka. Raita)

2 cups low fat yogurt
1 cucumber, chopped small
1 large tomato, chopped small
2 green onion sprigs, chopped fine (or 1 small onion chopped fine)
1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped
salt and pepper to taste

...you can add a little garlic juice to it

Method:
Combine all ingredients in large bowl. Mix thoroughly. If too thick add a small amount at a time of milk or water until desired consistency is reached.
