and how long could he be gone. where I live its very wooded and thick with brush so its kinda of hard to look for him.

It won't take long before the wild hens abandon him for their hidden nests. What you describe is predator heaven. The longer he is gone, the less likely it is that he will return.

One way to help in your searches is to use a turkey call and check out any responses.
