I have a Royal Palm x tom. he is less than one year old.

His crop has been visible for some time and I thought this was normal. Lately he seems to be taking gulps to swallow hard. Today I noticed he has what looks like air puffing up in his throat/side of his neck.
His appetite is still excellent and he still 'gobbles'.
Today I notice he is only half displaying and not making the noises associated with displaying.

I really hope this is making sense to someone out there lol!

does it sound like impacted crop?
what action can I take to help my boy?

Update:
its been like turkey rodeo around here lol

My Tom is not appreciative of my efforts to massage his crop. He still has plenty of energy despite seeming to have this crop issue.
He is undergoing a full moult now too which has made him look rather skinnier than we have seen him. But he is still quite solid and does not feel like he has shrunk physically...that is music to my ears tbh ;-)

anyway...I took away the dry food from the pen and presented some turkey chick starter mixed with some water and olive oil.
I got dirty looks for my trouble but it was all gone by the time I got back from work today, so I made up some more this evening with a little ACV as well as the olive oil. once the hens tried it the tom got stuck in.

I was concerned that he looked really full up to his beak afterwards so I tackled him for another rodeo massage session and within half an hour he made a couple of good gulps and the fullness seemed to disipate.

I'm going to keep massaging him and feeding him the chick starter 'mash' for a few days to see how he gets along.

So far so good! (thanks for letting me ramble on, I just hope this wiill help someone else at some point :) )
