My town is going to flood again! Breaking the 1993 record!

Our town is not as bad as some other Iowa towns. Whole towns are being evacuated. I just heard on the news Palo, Iowa the whole town had to leave right now as it is flooding really bad there. I just pray for all those people.

Yes I pray they are ok, there are a lot of people who are in these areas,,,,I have no idea if they are ok or not

My prayers are with you. In 2004 we lost everything we had and it was devestating.

Five days of toil go for naught in Columbus Junction

Our levee did not hold. The Iowa and Cedar Rivers won the battle. If we need anything now we have to go out of town to get it. The grocery store, the gas station, other stores are all flooded.

We are safe. We don't live in town but it is still our town. I feel really bad for all of our town people.

I just found a blog from a Columbus Junction resident. You can follow his blog as to what is happening to town. I know there is flooding all over Iowa but this is the flooding that most impacts me as that is the town of my mailing address and I shop in the town and know some of the people.
