My tractor was delivered today. I dug it out of the shed it was stored in a couple of weeks ago and left it in the hands of the delivery company. The drivers called yesterday and said they would be here midday. The one thing I didn't expect was for it to be on the front of the truck. I was also susprised at my emotional reaction when it arrived. I started driving this tractor as soon as I was big enough to hang onto the steering wheel with both hands and push in the clutch with my foot. I quite literally grew up on this tractor. I probably spent more time on it than any other activity of my youth. Pull into even a 40 acre piece with 2 14" plows and see how long it takes to turn it under. When it was pulled up in front on the truck today, it was like the arrival of an old and trusted friend. This tractor, at the time it was new(1936) was just a step up from, and a supplement to horse and mule teams, which we also farmed with.
