I was running my broad breasted turkeys with my cornishs xs and everything seemed to be going ok until day 12 they are weak and cant stand or walk that well. I put them in there own section of the brooder house and uped there protein to 28% they where getting broiler ration about 23%. Its now day 12 and the heat stays around 28C. Are they all doomed to a life of problems or will they recover and turn around?. Is there anything I can do to help these little guys out

thanks for the much needed help

Grant

if you have them hot again and keep them that way, they will bounce back. They MUST stay warm though until they get their feathers in or you will loose them.

I have never had luck raising turkeys and cornish cross together. They are messy wet birds and turkey are more shy. If your turkeys got chilled keep a eye on there butts for the next 5 days.
