My turn

These two are white leghorns. They should be coming up to four weeks old. The one with the bigger comb, kind of, gasp, does have some color, whereas her sister’s is all yellow. What’s crazy though is the one with the bigger comb is smaller than the other chick. It’s also the one that has been unhealthy. It has gone through respiratory issues, sneezing, and even an injury on the body. So if it is a rooster, I wonder if all of his trials in the beginning of his life kind of kept him small. Maybe it’s just a girl with a faster growing, darker comb. I heard leghorns have big combs. We shall see soon.

Side note, I just have to tell you that was I saw your signature about "Smile..." my face automatically did! lol These "girls" should be about 3.5 weeks old.

Well, that is still a little young to be absolutely positive. Maybe post more pics in three more weeks or so. Maybe they'll both look like pullets then

They better. I already lost 2 of my pack to an illness. I would be bummed. But other than the comb being bigger and having color, when I zoom in, I see those waddley things coming in, and the other doesn't have it. Since I am an impatient person, I have been putting every term into Google search regarding this. ha!

Oh no! It’s become much redder than it was a few days ago. My husband wants to keep him if he is in fact a boy, but that freaks me out with having the eight girls. I would be scared to death of eating the eggs! And can they really coexist as one happy flock?! Also she is getting brown streaks on her feathers, her sister is not. I am really hoping it’s a girl. I will update again in a few more days.
