LOL! That's good news, they all get along like a happy family? I don't have much experience with roosters, they just have a rep. for being really mean.
Honestly, some can be horrible! I've only had two mean roosters, two silkie brothers. They were already adults and awful when I got them lol
I don't really know why the ones I've raised have never been mean? I don't really treat them any different from the hens, but I've always had sweet boys. Maybe they know if they turn mean I'll make soup out of them lol
Looks to be all boy. The roosters I've raised from chicks have all been sweet, but I have had folks give me some downright mean ones, with the understanding that if I can't tame them, they'll be off to freezer camp. I've had some successes, and I've had some fine meals. With proper handling of the eggs, you wouldn't know the difference between fertile and infertile in the frying pan.
The last rooster I had was so mean, I swore off trying to keep one with my girls. But, I have to say, one of the new chicks I got seems to be sporting a bit of a comb, and is awfully rambunctious. We'll just have to wait and see.
My first pet was a huge yellow speckled rooster named Spot. I couldn't have been more than five or six. I carried him around with me everywhere. He would sit on my bed and try to eat my crayons while I colored. He's the reason I love roosters
The roos I've met (never owned any) have always been sweet as heck. I was at a farm, and one was in the petting zoo! But apparently the hens aren't around because they're fussy
