I always find you can tell the cockerals very early from day olds when they come charging you in the brooder box to when you change feed and the water....the pullets always seem to hold back....

I always say ut ohhhh thats a rooster for sure... seems to turn out to be true....

They are so cute. Hope they keep eating out of your hand and running to you when they get older. My chicks are at that state where they just want food and water. LOL

Well I have 16 Delawares that are roosters for sure!

I'm telling you what! Those little buggers aren't shy at all. They just fall short of pecking my whole hand off every time I reach into the brooder. I'll have to try and pay more attention to the Orps. and see what their behavior is like. I've just been trying to watch out for those little Delawares so they don't get me!
