My velociraptors just dismembered a dove! :(

Man that's hilarious! Too bad we can't train our chickens to turn the tides on the big birds hunting them above eh Nonny?

My Welsummer pullet, 14 weeks old, charged a young squirrel in the back yard yesterday. She is ferocious and I fully expect her to catch one when she's grown up.

LOL, back during the summer when out foraging in the evening, a rabbit would come out of the wood line and the chickens would chase it. Almost like hide and seek.

It never occurred to me that they would eat it if they caught it!! Don't tell DW.

My EE gets all the girls to gang up on our poor cat, Smokey. He tries to walk by them in the yard & she gives chase.
Poor cat, he's such a big wimp, I can't help but laugh at him. He was petrified of them when they were chicks. Would literally SHAKE when he heard the cheeps in the brooder. He knew they were a dangerous gang to tangle with from day one.

Four cats and not one in sight when the coops are opened. Watched a Houdan hen following Harry across the garden this morning; the moment she saw him she was off. Didn't chase him but followed about three foot behind till his bottle failed! Joe, who'll fight with anything up to badger size, avoids the flock like the plague.
