That's quite a drop in 24 hours.....what 10-12".
Could be one of your cold joints(between one days pour and the next day's pour).

I felt the same about the drop, entirely possible about the seam. I read on BYC somewhere about using sand and cat litter to help fix cracks. I'm glad it holds the weight I can deal with some little cracks a big break would have been worse.

@lindalouly i gotta say its pretty satisfying looking at it regardless of the few flaws a good sense of accomplishment.

Now to fine tune and get on the detail work and make it good and comfy for them.

Like a chicken coop it can take lots of tweaks and some rebuilding to get a pond to work.....
.......then you'll have to figure out how to deal with all the poop and algae that will grow off of it.

So its fair time here which is a big deal in this small town. And in true fashion a customer came in that I've been pestering for a bit, brought me this.

Pretty sweet balloon turtle right? And if you guessed she got it from the fair you'd only be half right. She's the one that makes them, been at it long enough to become very adept at the skill and she's only just barely a teenager. Shows up at the fair and other festivals throughout the year. They come in and eat alot and now I finally have my turtle. Lol. OK balloon rant over.
Pond hasn't receded as far today which is good news. Small fracture might be filling.
Only a few of my hatched chickens havent gotten cozy in the big coop yet and still sleep in the run at night but each day it seems to be getting a little fuller.
Found two small eggs with a big one on the side of the house yesterday, pretty sure its the silvers, might be getting a dozen eggs a day here soon and that's without the ee laying yet.
The bantams seem happy, might let em run around in the back here on my weekend. Its funny to see a chick so small that's already very obviously a rooster. He's pretty freaking adorable but qbert still wins that one out.

the average rate of evaporation is about 10 percent in a week...i used to be into fish...lol....so on a 1000 gallon pond expect about 100 gallons to evaporate....looking good tho

True Dat .....evaporation can make it harder to find leaks,
Will depend on surface area, sun, wind and ambient humidity levels.

The water loss seems to be slowing but is still happening. I'm not to concerned at this point, just gonna seal it while the weather is still good. I'll let the sediment settle in the cracks and give the ducks some time to play in what's in there until I drain it to dry it out. Oh and my sludge valve works was concerned the glue wouldnt hold the weight.
Think I'm off to start building a pen inside the big run for qbert, time to get him in something substantial until the pond and its fencing are finished in their entirety.

End on the inside is at the low point. Goal is to open it up and flush the waste out without having to empty the whole thing like I was before.
