So much rain, seems to be part of at least everyday for the last week. Not much to do while its coming down.

@Angie16hearts just give your rooster a little nudge with your foot the next time he drops his wing at you to court. I'll give Rosco a quick one to the bum if he even tries mounting another hen directly in front of me. He's trying to show dominance and I'm the boss. When the bantams were starting to mature one would shake at my hand if I was doing something on the ground. Was a great visual considering he's still only about a pound.

Still adding pictures to above text as well.

I was reading up on his tactics

I did read what you said to do. I have been walking him around the yard and in coop everyday !! Does this work? Or am I just adding to the situation? I do it Sometimes 2-3 times. I'm lucky he will let me pick him up ! He's super sweet but I know it can turn bad! My last one flogged me . He was gone after that! I'm obviously being to nice too him. I did hatch him and held him all the time . Next Foo will not be held as much now that I'm battling olive I'm not sure how many of you have CM ? Here's a few pics if anyone knows the standards for his breed? I was thinking his back is king and may have to much copper. I put him on another thread and got good responses. I want to breed him cause he's so calm . Plus the beautiful eggs !!!

It's raining cats and dogs here too! I'm glad we need it! Even though my yard is flooded.
Thanks for the advice I will definitely give it a shot !

X2 all the nerves in fingers. had to be horribly painful ! They look good now! Hope the pain has subsided. Are they numb attimus? It's been 2 years since I cut tip of mine off. Just getting feeling back.

The sensation is weird but not numb. And the running over the contours of it trips me out because of the way the cut was they used some of the inside portion of remaining skin to close them up, kinda like wrapping my fingerprint up over the ends but not exactly straight or all at once. I think my brain is still processing the reorganization of things.
Good looking roo by the way, I don't know really anything about breeding to standard....yet:) I really do like his colors, reminds me of my bantam boys.

Don't really bring up the kid excessively but with the 2nd one on the way we had to figure out a good way to utilize space.
I bring you the best bunk bed ever

Still finishing up the bedding on the double top bunk, but it has a queen bottom with another trundle double under that. Got it all delviered in the mail, I mean all of it, frame linens and even the mattresses. Lol. Memory foam compressed and rolled up in boxes, same with all the pillows, it was really crazy to see what all of this came out of. Put the whole thing together the other night and the kid absolutely loves it.
OK cute kid stuff out of the way back to the chickens ;)

Took a field trip to the merced zoo today, which in reality is only slightly larger than a big petting zoo. Their penned pets included various birds from around the world including several species of chickens, a Polish roo and austrolorp hen from what I could tell not sure on the others, several ducks and geese along with a black swan pair, some cranes and peacocks, even a pair of emu. These two were characters for sure and I didn't know that they make this crazy deep vocal sound eminate from there chest.
A small assortment of barnyard friends, a pig some goats and a handful of alpaca. There was even an alpaca playing catch with a couple deer.
The predatory animals are all ones I know too well, coyote, grey and red foxes, raccoons and bobcats. There were also two black bears and a lone Mt lion. It was a quick loop to say the least so we went around twice. On the second trip past the goats and little pig it occurred to me that in several years half this zoo will be boring to my kids, they'll be seeing it every day. Lol.

Almost forgot they even had a California ground squirrel in a cage(-.- ) seriously they has it in a cage. Ha-ha. Those things a freaking everywhere around here.
Anyways fun day, gonna grab some hardware clothe and maybe some other fencing or plants at home depot and head back up the hill in the morning to get an early start more of the big boxes.
Pretty sure we saved a turtles life too. Some of the first people in for the day and found one in a cage with some of the birds and it was stuck on its back. There were actually a few animals there that could have used a little tlc, guess more people need to go check em out:(

Disappointed with home depot and Lowes. Neither store had a 4x100' roll of hardware clothe and both said they did. I feel like I went through this at some point last year too. So I came home with a couple fruit trees instead. Peach, cherry, and a triple grafted pear and quad apple. Pick some space out in the morning and start digging. Getting started with my planting for te year :)

I ordered my 4x100 from my local Ace hardware, came in on their weekly delivery......
.....was a great price too($110) with no shipping charge, but that might have been because the owner gave me a deal cause I'm a longtime customer in a small town.
