my very own micro farm

Gave the chick it's last dose of corid last night. Thanks again @casportpony for the dosing information. I'm thankful(as the rest of byc should be) for your driven curiosity with your craft.
With my schedule it was easiest for me to treat her when I came home from work, late night. Using a wide ml I filled it to 5ml to give myself some visual control, and then just beaded up a small bit at a time held to the chicks beak. She then just drank the beads as they saturated the beak. Some lizards can use scales around their mouths to help siphon water into it similarly. She got just under 1/10 of a ml for each dose, give or take and seems to be doing just fine after the third day.
This morning I watched a hona fly out of the brooder and straight to the porch floor. They are gonna go outside pretty quick I can already tell I think being brooded out on the porch is helping. Im thinking about some modifications to the side of the brooder if I can find a piece of plexi big enough. That way they can see what's happening in the world around them instead of just above them.

It's still early let's get a move on

I too have been having lots of issues so I hope they can get it resolved soon :(

Maybe they need to hire a tech person lol
I know we aren't the only ones. I'm about to bite the bullet and just switch to desktop when I need to. I know it works but is just that much more time consuming. Sometimes I wonder how much more I could get done if I wasn't wandering byc as often as I do. But then I think, if I just worked my bum off and didn't take a break to enjoi it once in a while I'd be completely insane. That and I really just don't sleep that often so distractions are the bees knees. Little side tracked but I'm hoping for an expedient fix to what many of us on byc are experiencing. The mobile side of this site is much more streamlined but after over a year of posting this thread I'll do what I need to to keep it going, including using a browser interface on my tiny mobile screen if need be.
Aghh late night rant and ramble over.
Pictures! Argh!

My phone ap has never worked for pictures. I always have to switch to desk top version and it's a pain in the butt. How are the birds doing. Are they feeling better?
ya....I'm not a big fan of change when It comes to how I have to navigate my phone but I'm gonna try. The remaining chick that was sick seems to be pulling through just fine. The other 3 were visibly unaffected but have access to the dosed water. Looks like I'll be getting two pullets and two cockerals from that batch, ones the bantam. The fibro and ee are getting big, ee more so but the x is substantially larger than the two honas. By next week I should be able to tell if I have a pullet in the bunch.

Buried the last sick chick yesterday. Looked to bedojng better after the treatment but if the damage was to severe in the intestine than the chick wouldnt be able to absorb food and liquids properly.

The remaining to ducklings are almost completely feathered, and from he sounds, ive got a hen and a drake.

When the next clutch is due is anybodys guess, should be soon tho i suppose.
Another week for my first broody and a week after that for next, keeping my fingers crossed those bantam eggs hatch. 2 and 2 if memory serves.

My friend that helped a great deal with the pond came by with a new toy for me.

Don't know if this interests you or not, but Christineschick posted "Chicken Braces for Cross Beak" on 5/9/16 ... wouldn't hurt to look at it.

Thats a great idea, dont know if would work on a two week old chick, her beak is still really small, the hook is also already pretty bad so by the time i could apply this it might be too late. How did you find that tho seriously outside of the box ingenuity.
