My weightloss journey

Oh, I wanted to add another "move more" thought. Six years ago, I broke my wrist. Because I didn't move my elbow or shoulder much, they got extremely stiff. I needed physical therapy for my entire arm, not just my wrist. One exercise was to move my arm in an arc, with my hand up high, like washing a window. I worked that movement into anything I could, to get more reps in.

I guess what I'm saying is, little bits of movement add up. Talking on the phone? Walk up and down the hall. Standing somewhere? Walk in place. Sitting? Lift your feet up off the floor for a minute. (Really good for your abdominal muscles, and if you just barely lift them, nobody know you're doing it.) Another good thing is just stretching. Reach way up high, way out front. Gentle movement is great for your body too. You don't have to break a sweat to get the benefit of movement.

I'm glad you posted again! I've been thinking of you.:thumbsup

Thanks. Ive been trying to walk the dog daily but its just been too cold. I can walk a mile very easily now and dont break a sweat. Once it gets a little warmer me and her will be doing 2 miles daily. Ive found I can fast for at least 18 hours before it starts to bother me. I'm working up to one meal a day

Havent posted here in a while for a lot of reasons. The day I was gonna do my measurements I felt a pop in my back and shortly after I was unable to walk. I'd never thrown my back out before but I guess I am getting older. Its been snowing a lot and Ive been shovelling a lot for the exercise of it. I ended up pretty much incapacitated on the couch for 2 whole days. Really helped me as far as fasting because I was in too much pain to eat. I'm all better now but it was about 5 days before I felt no pain. I havent taken my measurements but Ive been intermittently fasting every day. My pants no longer fit at all even with long johns underneath. I had to start wearing a belt. The belt I'm using I only used to be able to tighten to the 2nd hole but I'm now running out of holes on it. If I lose anymore I'll have to start wearing a smaller size. My fiancee has noticed my weightloss as well. Hes been far more affectionate and supportive now that he's seen my progress. I have no more fat around my neck and face. Its super noticeable. I have a feeling when I go for my mext fitting I'll be taking a swim in my gown. I'm fine with that though. I'd rather look skinny on my big day than the whale I was.
