Got a McMurray catalog in her mailbox.. and brought it to me..
And my husband is trying to talk me into making an order. I have the order up on the screen- to include (females only) 2 White crested black polish, 2 silver polish, 2 golden polish, 4 buff orps, 3 black australorps, 3 silver laced wyandotte, 4 EE's, 2 buttercups, 2 silver grey dorkings, and 1 buff orp roo.
And 1 free mystery chick....

I have 10 eggs in the bator. And 10 chickens in the yard. If I were to press the "order" button, in a few weeks, my flock size would quadruple.
And just where does he think al these chickens would go?
The neighbors would just love 40 chickens running around..
No! NO !! NOOOOO!!!!.. I cannot press that order button..

You could have worse problems.

Well...duh! We like lots & lots of chickens!!!!
But seriously, chickens are like kids: If you have kids around, you have to make certain allowances (but it's worth it). A couple kids are not more trouble than 4 or 5. Chickens? The more the merrier!

But.. but.. after all these years, I finally have an empty nest. I really didn't wanna fill it. Unlike some moms, I celebrated when the nest was empty. ( love the kids, but, it was time)
