My young chicken has not laid egg since two days ago

Hi all,

I have a 16 week white chicken that started laying last week. She laid 4 eggs within 4 days but since two days ago she has not laid any. I know that the cold weather affects her, but is that normal? I mean she just recently started laying, but why all of a sudden she stopped laying?
Any advice?

Yes normal, even new layers can be inconsistant in winter. She'll get a better schedule as the days lenghten.

Young chickens start to lay gradually. All is normal for her to take a break. This is not a machine that starts to produce regularly once you turn on the ignition. .

Are your birds kept confined to coop and run....or do they free range?
If free ranging she may have found another place to lay....just something to keep in mind.

Thank you dear, they are confined in the coop and they have nowhere to go apart from their small home.
