My young Rooster preens my hair: is this normal?

my 3 hens will preen my hair too,but you have to be careful my brother got pecked in the eye when my hen,snowy was siting on the chair with him.

I've had him his whole life. He hatched on December 26, 2017.

Some cock/erels can be personable like this without terrible consequences,
but at 6 months old, it's still a crap shoot IMO.
Is he mounting the girls yet?

Just assur he moves out your way and move freely.If he was gonna turn aggressive he likely woulda doen it by now.

Yes. I am concerned about this as well. In this photo, he is above me. I'd like to continue being able to handle him and touch him without giving the wrong message.

No bird gets near my face! It's too easy to have a disaster with your eyes, at least.
I think that getting too 'friendly' with cockerels can often turn out badly. He might continue to do well, or not. Having him on your head is not sending him the right message.

I've had a pullet who used to jump on my shoulder and preen my hair often.
As well as a hen that would actually attempt to eat my hair, any time she could reach it.
So, I don't believe it's rooster inclusive, although it may as well be a passive-aggressive-roo thing? (Personally, I doubt it, I think it may be more just a silly-chicken quirk.)

My buff pullet constantly picks and pulls my hair,trying to teach her to just sit in my lamp and stay out of head!

No. The young hens are too young and Penny, my older hen will kick his ass. Also, my 3 year old Rooster won't let him mount.

He does mount rocks, though.
